Food Is Medicine 2019

Join us for the fourth-annual Food Is Medicine seminar on Saturday, April 13th at Wagner Noel.

Our presenters will discuss the pillars of plant-based nutrition, the role of diet in preventing, arresting, and reversing the top 15 causes of death in America, and the effect of lifestyle in optimizing brain health and avoiding Alzheimer’s.

This all-day seminar includes sessions from the speakers, a delicious plant-based lunch, book signings and a Q&A session with the experts. Continuing Education (CE) credits are available for nurses, physicians, dietitians and pharmacists.

THE SPEAKERS

Dr. Scott Stoll, author of Alive! and co-founder of the Plantrician Project and the International Plant Based Nutrition Healthcare Conference, will discuss the seven pillars of plant-based nutrition.

Dr. Michael Greger, author of How Not to Die and founder of Nutritionfacts.org, will discuss the role of diet in preventing, arresting, and reversing the top 15 causes of death in America.

Drs. Dean and Ayesha Sherzai, the husband and wife duo known as Team Sherzai and authors of The Alzheimer’s Solution, will discuss the profound effect of lifestyle in optimizing brain health and avoiding Alzheimer’s.

Dr. James Loomis, an internal medicine physician featured in The Game Changers film and former team internist for the St. Louis Rams and the St. Louis Cardinals, will discuss the benefits of plant-based nutrition for optimal performance and health.

Physicians: Midland Memorial Hospital is accredited by the Texas Medical Association to provide Continuing Medical Education for physicians. Midland Memorial Hospital designates this live educational activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s).
