Hilary has always been a huge animal-lover, which was what initially drove her to stop eating meat. She has been vegetarian since 2003, and whole-food, plant-based since 2013 after watching Forks Over Knives. Hilary currently owns and operates Whole Heart Meals, offering WFPB meals and cooking lessons, and works at Midland Memorial Hospital as a Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP) facilitator, promoting healthy lifestyles.
Hilary is certified in Plant-Based Nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies, and Plant-Based Cooking through the Rouxbe Culinary Rx program. Though a Marine Biologist and Wildlife Biologist by educational background, she decided to pursue a new career path and is currently taking courses with the goal of becoming a Registered Dietitian to help others find health through food.
